Commissioning an original painting can provide a unique gift or memento or can perhaps mark a special occasion.

I work in my studio from sketches, notes and photographs which I have taken myself. I can also work from supplied photographs provided that there are no copyright issues and provided that I believe I can create a painting which says more about the subject than the photograph itself.

The first step is to contact me for a discussion in which I will explain what needs to be done, how long it will take, whether mounting and framing is required and an indication of price.

I will prepare one or more sketches which I will photograph and email to you and if we agree to proceed I will confirm a delivery period.

When the painting is finished, but before framing, I will email you a photograph. If you wish me to arrange mounting and framing we will finalise it then.

The painting will be paid for after you have seen the finished work and are happy with it.

For a specific date it would be worth giving me about two months notice or more.

A painting which is about 22" x 18" (56 x 45cm) framed will be in the region of £300.
