I was born and educated in Glasgow and had a successful career in the steel industry for over 36 years.

In the mid 90's, early retiral provided an opportunity to explore my latent interest in painting and to develop as an artist.

I studied part-time at Glasgow School of Art and paint mainly in watercolour, a medium in which I find both excitement and subtlety.

As an active yachtsman I have a particular interest in marine subjects and I am frequently commissioned for paintings of yachts and other vessels. The beauty and ever changing moods of the west coast of Scotland provide a constant source of inspiration.

My work is hung in private and corporate collections worldwide and I exhibit mainly in the Glasgow area and Argyll.
